On March 27, 1976,  during  the  9th  Biennial Convention at  Bataan, Aquinas University was recognized as Gamma Xi Chapter. Gamma Xi became the 86th Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, Philippines.

The chapter  was  organized  on  November 27, 1974 at the old Technical Science Building by Bicolano brothers initiated from various schools in Metro Manila. They were:

The first batch initiated was only one pledge, Bro. Mayo Monilla, Bodega Boy - Lone Ranger Batch 1974. As his batch name shows, he was initiated in a warehouse somewhere in Municipality of Daraga from his baptismal, prelim and final rites.

After Bro Mayo, came the SIGNOS TRECE Batch. They were composed of idealistic students who eventually molded the chapter on what it is today.

Gamma Xi produced good and disciplined members who ventured to the various branches of work, from the government services to the private sectors.
